Sport stacking had been described as a “track meet for your hands at warp speed.” It is an emerging individual and team sport where participants stack and unstuck twelve specially designed high-tech cups in pre-determined sequences with lightening quickness. This unique sport promotes hand-eye coordination, ambidexterity, focus, concentration, team skills and sportsmanship. Sport stacking competitions take place locally, nationally an internationally throughout the year and competitors, generally ages 6-18, can compete against the clock or on relay teams. The sport had spread rapidly across the United States and beyond and it’s estimated that more than a million kid worldwide now take part. The WSSA (world Sport Stacking Association), formed in 2001, acts as the governing body for sport stacking events.

Check out www.worldsportstackingassociation.org for more information and video demonstrations. If you would like to schedule a demonstration for you r school, club or organization, contact Gateway Christian Fellowship. If you have any questions on the clinics or speed stacking contact event coordinator Judy Gardner at 696-2064.
